Thoughts on David’s Tabernacle

In the first century church, the apostles met at Jerusalem to talk about ,among other things, the move of the Holy Spirit in the Gentiles. The Pastor of the Jerusalem church, James , made this anointed conclusion by quoting from the prophet Amos: “After this I will return and will rebuild the Tabernacle of David which has fallen down..and I will set it up, so that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord..”(Acts 15:16-17a).

One of the hallmarks of David’s walk with God was his willingness to inquire of the Lord (1 Sam.30:8). No other Old Testament saint inquired of the Lord like David did. He was known as a man after God’s own heart. Why not spend time worshipping the Lord as David did, then take time to inquire of Him concerning things that are important to you. Consider these positives:

1-When the Lord speaks, and quickens scripture to us, it becomes revelation and our faith is established( 1 Sam.23:2).

2-Battle strategies will be revealed to you in standing against the wiles of the devil(1 Sam.30:7-8).

3-David asked for specific answers and God gave him specific answers (2 Sam.2:1).

4-David inquired of God about the cause of a problem the nation was facing and the Lord gave him the answer(2 Sam.21:1).

Well, you say “I’m not a great leader like David”. My friend, the Word says he who is least in God’s Kingdom is greater than the greatest (in Jesus words) man of the Old Testament(Matt.11:11). You can inquire of the Lord! We are living in the time that David’s Tabernacle has been restored. Inquire and receive.
