What To Expect at River Of Life Church

River Of Life Church
Sunday Morning Service Time 10:30am

Wednesday Night Service Time 7:30pm
Whether you’ve visited several times, or are just thinking about coming to River of Life, we’re glad to have you join us.

Getting Settled:
At River of Life, you’ll notice a casual atmosphere, and people of all ages and walks of life. Our dress is also casual “come as you are.” You’ll see a lot more casual dress than ties! Our welcome hosts will greet you with a bulletin. An usher can direct you to seats – or you may sit wherever you are most comfortable. Once you are seated, check out the bulletin to get an overview of ministries and upcoming events.

Your Kids:
Children are very important at River of Life and we have age-appropriate programs from nursery to 4th grade during service. Nursery is six months to two years, the three to six year old class and age seven to eleven years old class. Under the direction of Ms. Allie, our staff and volunteers create a safe, fun atmosphere in which children can learn practical lessons from the Bible and begin to develop a relationship with God.

Worship
Worship:

This time is set aside for communicating with God from our hearts. Our worship team will lead us in upbeat, contemporary songs of celebration, as well as more intimate songs of worship. Many of the songs may be familiar to you if you listen contemporary Christian worship on radio and Christian TV. Everyone worships in his or her own unique way – for many, that means singing and clapping along, and for others it means quietly reflecting on the words. There is a time following worship for the gifts of the Spirit to flow.

Offering:
At some point in the service, we receive tithes and offerings. This is an act of worship for our regular attendees, allowing them to thank God for all of the great work He is doing in their lives. It also gives River of Life the means to continue to care for more people in the future.  Once each month, offering is taking for the six (6) mission works we support.

Message:
Each Sunday our pastor gives a relevant, straightforward message that is based on the Bible, and is designed to be helpful in your everyday life. Past messages are available online after service and via our web store. These messages will help you develop a growing, vibrant relationship with Jesus, and apply biblical teaching to your own life.

Communion:
About once each month we celebrate communion together. Anyone can participate in this time of reflection and prayer – as long they’ve made the decision to trust and follow Jesus. The juice and bread that we share represent the life He gave up so that our sins could be forgiven.
